The Parks and Recreation Department provides both indoor and outdoor leisure and recreation opportunities by:

developing and maintaining a diverse urban landscape to the highest possible standards, using the most effective and efficient means possible, with a focus on sound environmental practices; and

encouraging all residents to be physically active through indoor and outdoor services and programs that are accessible and affordable.
