The Economic Impact Study of the 2003 Medicine Hat JazzFest, was conducted by Dennis McGuire, Ph.D., of the Department of Economics at Okanagan University College in Kelowna, British Columbia. The study examines the gross and net economic impacts of JazzFest. Detailed findings of attendance volume, attendee demographics, the travel motivations of non-resident attendees, purchasing patterns, and per person and aggregate dollar expenditures are included in this analysis.
